“IAlgar Racing is built on a legacy that stretches back nearly 70 years. It all began in the late 1950s, when my grandad first caught the racing bug through karting. His passion quickly evolved into Mini Cooper racing — a bold move that laid the foundation for a motorsport tradition that would span generations.

By the 1970s, racing had become a full-blown family affair. My dad and uncle took up the mantle, forming our family race team and immersing themselves in the thrill of competition. Then in the 1980s, Trevor Algar — my father — added a new chapter to the story by offering Formula Ford race hire. His hands-on involvement in grassroots motorsport not only deepened our family’s connection to the track but also introduced a new way for others to experience racing firsthand.

Today, Algar Racing carries that same spirit forward. We’re passionate about making motorsport more accessible — offering affordable race hire and support packages so that real talent can get a start, even without a big budget. We believe that racing should be about skill, determination, and heart — not just financial backing.
